MPO now recruiting Public Advisory Committee members
Date Posted: Thursday, March 5th, 2015Are you interested in transportation in Kent County? Have you ever wondered, how the the planning process for transportation projects works? Have you wondered how you can get involved in your community?
The Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization is looking for enthusiastic community members to join its Public Advisory Committee, or PAC.
The Public Advisory Committee ensures that the MPO receives input from the public regarding all transportation plans, programs and policies that the MPO Council adopts. PAC members are appointed on a volunteer basis. Appointing agencies are the Governor’s office, the Delaware Department of Transportation, the Delaware Transit Corporation, the city of Dover, and Kent County Levy Court.
At this time, the PAC has openings for appointees to represent the city of Dover and Kent County Levy Court.
There are six PAC meetings per year (one every other month). They take place on Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kent County Administrative Complex in Dover, unless the time and location is otherwise noted.
For more information, please contact PAC Liaison Kate Layton at kate.layton@doverkentmpo.org, or call (302) 387-6026.
Thank You!
