ARTICLE I. MISSION AND AUTHORITY
Section 1. Mission and Scope
The primary objective of the Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is
to perform regional transportation planning services and transportation planning coordination
within the region. It is the intent of the Council to solicit active participation from all public
agencies in the region that have significant responsibility for transportation and land use policies
and/or for operating transportation facilities and services. In addition, it is the intent of the
Council to ensure that the public has meaningful involvement in the transportation planning
process conducted by the Council.
