Milford, DE. The Dover Kent Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), in partnership with the City of Milford, the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), and Sussex County, is pleased to announce the start of the US 113 Corridor Needs Study in the Milford area. Community members are invited to provide feedback on transportation issues in the US 113 corridor.

This study will assess the safety, traffic, and roadway conditions of the US 113 corridor through the Milford area to evaluate its ability to support local and seasonal travel, businesses, and jobs. The study area is 7 miles long, from Route 1, just north of Milford, to the Cedar Creek/Hudson Pond bridge, one mile north of Hudson Pond Road. No project recommendations will be made in this study based on the identified needs.

The MPO invites community members to provide input on the issues, needs, and challenges along the US 113 corridor via the link below. Your feedback on traffic safety, congestion, pavement conditions, or environmental concerns like drainage and flooding are crucial for identifying the most pressing concerns that the corridor faces. Public comments will be accepted between September 1, 2026 – October 15, 2026. Please consider forwarding this release to anyone who may be interested in providing feedback. All comments are welcome.
