  May 18 was Bike to Work Day in Dover. Several riders pulled up to tents in front of the Dover Public Library that morning for some water and a few snacks before heading off to start their work day. This is an annual event, so we’ll see you next year!

City of Dover to host open house for Mallard Pond

Calling all City of Dover residents living in the Brandywine Court Condos, Fox Hall West Addition, Mallard Pond, and Heatherfield East Areas The City of Dover is hosting a public open house to share in the future of Mallard Pond Park. Public Workshop Details: Tuesday, July 29, 2014 6:30 – 8:30 pm Mallard Pond Park (rain location: John W. TREE2.BMFWould you like to see playground equipment? Would you like to see park benches? How about a connected pathway trail system? This is a chance to come out with your family and share your opinions on what Dover should do in Mallard Pond Park. Join the City of Dover in the Mallard Pond Park area on Tuesday, July 29th anytime between 6:30 pm ‐ 8:30 pm. Children are encouraged to attend as the city wants their vision of what a playground area should look like! Light refreshments will be served. (In case of inclement weather, the open house will be held at the John W. Pitts Recreation Center.) The Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization will also be on site to share our plans for a pathway trail system for this park and around the greater Dover area. Who should attend? Residents of neighborhoods surrounding the park. Residents, this is your chance to have an impact on how your neighborhood park evolves!
